Juniata Valley Senior Center Open House

The Juniata Valley Senior Center will hold an "Open House" on June 18 to enable area adults aged 60 and over, their families, and their friends, an opportunity to see precisely what types of activities go on at the center to enrich the lives of the senior citizens in the Juniata Valley.

Information will be provided to the visiting guests that will provide a glimpse of the daily food, fellowship, recreational, educational, nutritional, and health related activities offered by the Area Agency on Aging and the membership of the Juniata Valley Senior Citizens, Inc. organization.

Festivities will run from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and will start in the morning with a continental breakfast of coffee, juice and rolls. During the day there will be various activities including information and pamphlets from the Area Agency on Aging from 11:00 to 12:00; answers to health insurance questions; blood pressure readings from 10:00 - 11:00 AM and again from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM; a delicious luncheon; crafts; snacks; computer class registration; KARAOKE demonstration; Walking Club information; and a number of other items. There will also be door prizes every hour on the hour.

Please note that no reservations are needed for attending the free Open House. The Continental Breakfast, and the refreshments provided throughout the day will be provided free of charge to anyone who visits. If you would like to have lunch and/or transportation arrangements, reservations are required and must be made at least a day in advance.
