Paul Harrison HOFFER, 80. died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, in the emergency room at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. He was born Aug. 25, 1924, at his family home in Petersburg, R.R., West Township. He was the son of the late Harry and Mable (Ewing) Hoffer. He was united in marriage Aug. 1, 1946, to Mary Ellen Peightal by the Rev. C.W. Fields at the Fifteenth Street United Methodist Church in Harrisburg. His wife survives at their West Township home. He is also survived by a son, Paul Daniel Hoffer of Pasedana, Md.; a granddaughter, Bethany Ann Teaser of New Jersey; and a grandson, James Daniel Hoffer of Maryland. A sister, Ella Baltoser of Petersburg, survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann (Hoffer) Huntsman, Aug. 15, 2002; a brother, Roy Martin Hoffer; and three sisters: Bertha Moore, Elizabeth Nesteruk and Laura Cutter. Mr. Hoffer was educated in West Township schools and graduated from Petersburg Vocational High School. He was a lifetime resident of Petersburg, West Township. He was a member of Hesston Community Chapel. It was Mr. Hoffer's request that there be no public visitation and that flowers be omitted. Private graveside services were held at Mooresville Cemetery with the Rev. James L. Blair officiating.
